Birth Day

28
May

Oh it is so nice to be on holiday from school this week even if the weather is a bit odd.

My friend Victoria had her baby girl last week so have been thinking about a card for little Sophie, decided on Flower Fairies in the end.

This is printed off from the Craft Comapnions Flower Fairies CD, paper, alphabet and decoupage flower fairy.  I thought it was very sweet put on an A5 card.  It took me ages to cut everything out but was pleased with it in the end.  Hope she likes it…

Take care, thank you for looking,

Julie

Cuttlebug!

May

Hi again!

I have got my Cuttlebug at long last – yeah!  I have been waiting for this for some time and got it from  friends David and Brenda at www.craftobsessions.com along with the Nestabilities.  It is an early birthday present for me so no doubt will feature quite a lot in my cardmaking and scrapbooking.  We have their crop this Saturday too which I am really looking forward to.card4

I have used one of my favourite Sarah Kay stamps Funky Kits – the card and paper is from Jo at Stampin Up,  the brads and pearl dots from my stock.

Thank you for looking,

Julie

I am so looking forward to the weekend, hope the rain goes away so I can get some gardening done.   In the meantime, I had two anniversary cards to make today so decided to make something simple as I didn’t have much time.  I used Paper Nation stamps and paper which are great and paper, card and brads from my stash.  I used the copic pens to colour.  Very easy to do and not like me at all but needs must.  I have three more birthday cards to do this week too,  May is a very busy month in our family.

Take care and have a lovely weekend.  Thanks for looking…

My First Upload

13
May

Now, anyone who knows me knows that I am not computer literate and my son Benjamin has had to spend quite a bit of time with me just to get me going.  So, with any luck I will now be able to upload my first card onto this site…

Yeah – I think I did it.  All my instructions are written down so I will have to laminate them until I can memorize it all!!
OK, love this stamp and have used it quite a few times over the last few months. I smudged around the edge of the image and my friend Jo is responsible for the papers from Stampin Up, they are lovely, and also for my use of Copic pens to colour in – she is very patient and a good teacher! Jo’s blog is on my links if you would like to see some of her great work.  The flowers are prima and the brads from my endless stash.
That’s it for today, thank you for looking,
Julie

Welcome to Craft Passions

10
May

Hello

And welcome to Craft Passions – this is my first post!  Being new to this I am just starting by saying that I love craft, any craft really, but my passions are Cardmaking, Scrapbooking and Photography.  I attend regular crops with my sister and friends, I have been making cards for over five years now, scrapbooking for about three years and photography is my new passion – proper photography that is.

I have been taking family snapshots for 25 years but finally got a decent DSLR a few years ago and only took on Auto.  I started a new course last September an OCNW level 1 in Photgraphy and have loved learning how to use my camera properly.

So just a bit about me for the moment.  I am looking forward to being able to show you some of my efforts in card making and scrapbooking soon when my lovely son Benjamin shows me how to use this space properly!!

Bye for now.
