Well, this is scary, starting to think of Christmas  though I know loads of us card makers are on the same page, we cannot buy any cards and are totting up how many family and friends we have to send to…

I went to my local crop the other evening, Scrapfrenzy in Ferndown, with our lovely group of scrappers but decided to make cards this time, so did a lot of stamping and colouring in with my Copics, and did a few decoupage cards.  This is a freebie from Cardmaking and Papercraft on Papermania papers,

Have loads more to do, by for now,

There seems to be quite a few of these shutter cards about on blogs so I thought I would have a go, and I got the tutorial from Splitcoast which always has such a lot of useful things on it.

The papers are all from DCWV that I have had in my stash for ages, along with the bazzil card it was a set from QVC I got quite a while ago that came in a spring, summer and winter collections in a two drawer box and I have used the papers for so many things.

Hope you like them

Black and White

As it has been a bit dull this afternoon and all my household are at the football, I thought I would get on and do some more cards.

So I decided to try out something different for me. I like the black, white and grey theme and had loads of paper left over from many projects.  After tidying up my craft room yet again (got lovely new drawers from Ikea which are great for my stamp sets, inks, embossing powders etc - Alex six drawers I think it is) and sorting out all the little things, I found stuff I hadn’t realsied I kept!  Oh well, I know most crafters are like that, keeping things just in case, and paper is my thing, I don’t throw any out, even little scraps…

Ok, my Gorguss Girls stamp yet again, must invest and buy more, and using the Nesties for the layers.  I had seen on a blog not so long ago about lacing with jute thread so I had loads of this black thin ribbon and thought would try it without eyelets.  The scalloped punches from Stampin Up are a favourite at the moment too and I have bought the stamps that go with them from Jo (Stampin-n-stuff), this Just for You is so cute, and I brought in a bit of pink with one of them with tiny pink jewels.

Hope you like them…

Morning

Well, I have loads of cards to make for September, seven birthdays and three anniversary cards to  produce for family and friends, who now won’t accept anything unless it is handmade!  Can’t blame them, much more exciting to get a handmade card through the post…

My fave Gorguss Girls again, coloured with Copic pens.  The papers are from The Hobby House, scalloped punches from Stampin up, stamp swirls from Hot ff the Press, buttons etc from my stash and the scalloped card is Craftwork cards, remembered in the end.  Love these cards, nice and large squares and such good quality.

One down, nine to go!

Well, it has taken me some time to get back into it but I am at last making some more cards.  I have been busy scrapbooking since we got back from our hols and now need to get my act together and make some cards.

I still love this stamp, coloured in with Copics (got more from David at Craft Obsessions - he has the whole lot now!!) along with some K & Co papers, the oval punches and stamp from Jo at Stampin Up and the scalloped card is from a lovely stand at the Newbury Show I now can’t find the name of (my friend Jo will know!).

Hope you like it, got loads more to do,

Julie
