Tilda Note Books
Mar

Morning.
A friend of mine is leaving work this week so I decided to make her a note book to go by the phone. It just has a Stickies pad inside.
The paper is some old stock K & Co that I have kept forever and is nice for Spring – I can’t keep hoarding papers just ‘cos I love them, they have to go!
I have used noble Tilda, so cute just sitting on a piece of card using a Martha Stewart punch and some ribbon. I coloured her in with Copics.
I liked doing it so much I made another one, might keep it for myself, again using scraps of papers I have a feeling is Basic Grey. I do enjoy colouring in!!
Hope you have a lovely day…
Tilda Cards
Mar
Morning
Yuk out there isn’t it?! So no excuse but to make some cards – well, I have piles of ironing to do and what is more important – hmmmm
!!
We went to our local crop at West Moors with David and Brenda (Craft Obsessions) on Saturday and they had amazing new stock. Amongst the papers etc which were scrummy were his new stock of Magnolia stamps and books, just to die for. I had to succumb and bought a few and borrowed a few off my friend Jo Preston (messydoings link) as she has quite a few! So I have been colouring in, a fave passion of mine in the evenings, using Copics and Promarkers, and a few Stampin Up pens to boot.
I have a few card orders to make so thought I would just show a few of the cards so far. Hope you like them.
Jo’s Challenge
Mar
This is a challenge set by Jo for the new box set for the butterfly stamps and punch which is just lovely. I love aqau and chocolate together but sorry Jo, didn’t have any Stampin Up papers to go with it so used old stash I had instead. I will base it on some lovely papers I do have next time, promise! It was good fun and didn’t take long at all, especially on this dull afternoon. The box went together so easily and it was so nice to use my new punch and butterfly stamps. So I am sending this as my entry…
52 in 10 – Friends
Mar

I couldn’t just do one page for friends so made it one for scrapbooking friends and old friends. I know I have more scrapping friends but haven’t got a recent photo of everyone – maybe at Davids crop on Saturday if I am lucky or remember to take my camera!
The scrapping one is done on Anna Griffin paper (my fave – one to use for the foible page for prompt 11 as my friends will tell you that I rarely use my AG papers, I just look at them!!). The photo we took after completing one of Jo’s classes, this one on her shutter card album for Xmas which was a great success, all holding our work very proudly. The other page is of wonderful friends, Deb from San Diego at the top (our fridge magnet collector!) and the others two wonderful couples who are very dear to me and my hubby. I have been meaning to use the ‘Friends, Hope etc’ cutouts for a long time (Craft Obsessions).
Take care…
52 in 10 – Traditions
Mar

While we were away we missed quite a few of the 52 in 10 prompts from Dolly so I got a chance to do a few at Linda’s crop on Saturday. We are loving the prompts and four of us out of 6 are doing the project on our table alone!
This one is for prompt 7 Family Traditions – we have quite a few but I did the Fridge Magnets one that we started many many years ago, mainly from our friend Deb who lives in San Diego. Helen and I visited her a long time ago and her fridge was covered with magnets - I mean one of the huge American fridges!! . When we go anywhere, be it in England or abroad, we look for fridge magnets to collect and give to family members, mainly my sister Helen and our Mum aas she is just as daft as we are for trying to get hold of them! Our last ones were from NZ and Mum went to Torquay the other weekend and got us one from there too. We must have hundreds between us…
Take care…
Easel Cards
Mar
Morning
Well, trying to get back into the swing of things has been harder than I thought but at last I got some time yesterday afternoon (after being in the garden in the glorious sunshine in the morning! – working I might add) to make some cards.
On Jo’s blog she has been doing a few easel cards and I think they are sweet so tried a few myself with my new Stampin Up butterfly punch I got at our crop from Jo on Saturday – how easy is that to use with the stamping set… The pink has photographed quite dark but I do like the pink and blue combo.
Thanks for looking…
Home again!
Mar
Well, after nearly four weeks away in New Zealand I am back and ready to roll.
We had the most fantastic holiday me and my hubby Mike, we went with my sister Helen and her husband Derek and the four of us ate and drank our way round the South Island, very impressed with the northern part which we had never been to before. I took 1345 photos and my sis took 16oo!!! Well, we are in for some scrapbooking in a major way I think, good to know we have four crops a month to go to…
Have to sort my photos out now, take care everyone..
xx
