52 in 10 – Prompt 20

Afternoon

Well, I was sat thinking what to do this afternoon – I have been feeling poorly since yesterday with a virus (headache, shivery, sore throat etc) so I made a page for the 52 in 20 from Karen, very simple is all I could manage then I got the spacing wrong for my title!  So this was a prompt for your Ideal Job, mine would have been a Wildlife Photographer, and one of my favourite animals is the otter.  The papers were from David at Craft Obsessions Bo Bunny (a gift of love) and if you pull the Handle with Care tab it will reveal the hidden journaling.  As I say, very easy but wanted the photo to be the main item and with my headache, all I could do…

Take care…

Afternoon

And isn’t it lovely out! Yeah…  Though not feeling too bright today, ache all over and have a sore throat, yuk…

But have sat myself down to do a few cards after colouring in last night.  You know how it is, you look through your old stash, sorting out cupboards and boxes you haven’t looked in in a while and there were these lovely La Blanche foam stamps I got from QVC ages ago – how cute are they.  Yes, I know, I am still on a very cutesy theme!

Both are coloured in with Promakers with some old K & Co paper and Papermania Wedding papers, a few flowers and sentiments from Stampin Up, simple but I did enjoy doing them.card39a

Take care and hope this weather stays warm…

Afternoon

I had a little time today to play with my new Stampin Up stamps ‘Itty Bitty Buds’ which are very useful and made two very simple cards.  I have just added bold brights cardstock and ink dots to my growing collection so used these bright colours conservatively (if you can do that) in a simple design.

This is Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise and Yoyo Yellow for the flowers (Kaiser Rhinestones for the centres), Green Galore for the stalks and corresponding cardstock (don’t they have lovely names!) and a little bit of ribbon from my stash as I had no pink SU ribbons, sentiments also SU.card38a

Take care and hears to a good week weather wise!!

Well, I told you that Lily of the Valley stamps would become a firm favourite of mine, and what with the footi on TV and the men in both tv rooms watching different games, I am card making this afternoon after scrapbooking this morning -aah, that’s the life…

I have made a card for my friends Karen adn Mike who are moving this week with the Teddy in the Shed stamp, just thought it would make a cute ‘moving’ card.  Coloured in Copic and Promarkers as usual, I used the blue card from SU Soft Subtles and the paper is from Papermania, a pack I seem to be using a lot lately, made it into an easel card with the Best Wishes stamp from SU along with the oval punches.  Where would I be without Jo and Stampin Up!

The second card is the Boy on the Computer stamp, so cute – I just love it.  Coloured as always, with cardstock again from SU soft subtles, the sentiment and square punch SU –  I just love the baby blue and banana colours together, buttons from my stash.card37a

Have to stop now and make tea, made ten cards this afternoon which is great.

Take care…

Afternoon

Well thank you Karen as always for your great prompts.  I have combined nos 18 and 19 to make a doubled page layout with No 17.

I have used the lovely Stampin Up papers again from Jo, love the psychedelic influence seeing as our school was founded in 1959 it is quite apt for the hippy era!  The bottom strip is Happy Birthday for our 50 years is DCWV papers, Martha Stewart embossed punch, alphabet from old stock (am trying to use up all my old stuff).  The flower is four layers with a jewelled brad from Hobby House with the butterfly (our school mascot) from Clarity Stamps – got it at the Ally Pally Show – which has angelina fibres in between, double layered and jewelled in the middle, swinging on a chain for the ‘Movement’ which Karen had asked for with the prompt.

I had fun doing this though my fingers cramped trying to put the links through the tiny chain! – it sucks having arthritis…

Take care

New LOTV Stamps!

Well, I am happy the rain has come, if not just for the garden.  But for the chance to stay in and stamp  – so easily pleased am I!

My new Lily of the Valley stamps arrived this morning, two teddy ones and two little boy ones, just scrummy. And one of my Cardmaking magazines, how lovely.  So I have been busy doing a few cards with the heating on… brr, can’t believe how cold it is.

They are coloured in with Promarkers and Copics, the teddy layered on to Papermania paper and pink card and flowers from stock, old sentiment stamps that I haven’t used in such a long card36a time.

I might try watercolouring the teddy on the wall one next as it is quite fiddly with the promarkers but that means I will have to tidy my work area first… oh well, needs must.

Hope you all have  a good weekend, take care …

Morning

Lovely out there but cold so although I should be finishing off in the garden from the weekend, I am going to do some cards and scrapbooking as I have to work tomorrow.

This is from the SU Vintage stamp set again, love it, but on a long card – I have loads of cards in my stash box and mainly use square but found a load of these hammered cream ones so thought I would make a change.  I have used inked cut and dry all around the edges of the card and panels, stamped the flowers etc with my new Spice Big and Juicy ink pad, cutting out for the decoupage and a few brads in the middle of the small flowers - a bit grungy from me but I like a change.

HOpe to get more done later.  Take care …
