LOTV Challenge 61
Aug
Evening
Well what another grotty day we have had, just had to do some stamping to cheer me up!
So there is a new challenge on the Lilly of the Valley site this week which is a lovely layout and this is my card for that. It took ages to find which stamp I was going to use but this is what I came up with …
I have never done challenges before as I have always wanted to look at what other people have been doing, but am having my second go and have liked the challenge…
I used the nesties and a lace doily for the mount, then used Stampin Up papers and old ribbon from my stash. I used my Marth Stewart corner punch and the fairy is coloured in with Promarkers, glittering the wings and dress and gel dots.
Take care
More SU Pockets
Aug
Well, it’s still cloudy this afternoon so I am still makig cards, have done about ten so far, yeah hey!
I have been experimenting with Pocket Silhouettes for a couple of hours and have now been using Petals and Paisleys papers, still love them and I bought three sets off Jo! I used Old Olive and Pixie Pink for the stamping on Apricot Appeal cardstock (love that colour with almost anything) and a few pearl gems from my stock.
The second one is using the same papers but with Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery (don’t you just love the names they come up with!) for the stamping and I used mini beads just to highlight the flowers.
Take care…
SU Pocket Silhouettes
Aug
Morning
Well, you know what I do on dull, cloudy days…
I was only saying to Jo at our crop on Wednesday night in Ferndown that I hadn’t used the Pocket Silhouettes set after buying it months ago. So mainly using SU’s soft subtles I stamped the four flowers and used some of the yummy cottage papers, oval SU punches – so it is not a virgin set anymore!
I feel for the people on holiday here this week with this yucky weather, it is getting that we can’t trust August at all! Well, September will probably be gorgeous… it was last year.
Take care…
More LOTV Get Well Bear
Aug
Morning
Don’t need many excuses to create but when it is dull outside and cool, yeah hey!
I just love the Get Well Bear from LOTV, well any of their stamps as you know, and played with this one a bit as an easel card. I stamped her on to pearl card and coloured with Promarkers, the paper is from My Minds Eye, I like their small printing for cards, mounted on to pink card, and same inside. The Get Well Soon is an old Hero Arts stamp, the other is Stampin Up, brads, gems and some flowers from Papermania and Martha Stewart punch that I just cut to make corners. Hope you like it, I certainly have fun colouring in!
Take care…
52 in 10
Aug
Morning
Well, what a lovely crop we had yesterday and managed to get 3 of my Dolly’s 52 in 10 challenges done, yeah hey! It was great to see everyone after the July break, now we are quite busy for the next two months with crops, classes and events.
This is Prompt 29 – Dream Holiday, and yes I know I have missed posting a few. No papers for me this time, just card bazzils in red, white and blue of course. I have an American flag somewhere I must hunt out to finish it off and the title. Flags and bunting seem to be the in thing at the moment. But this is my dream holiday driving along the East Coast of America from the Florida Keys to the Canadian border. I have been lucky enough to visit the USA with my hubby Mike quite a few times, twice in Florida to the Disney Parks with the boys and three times to Maine to visit our very good friends over there in Boothbay Harbor, a magnificent part of the coast. We also managed a holiday then up to Niagara through Vermont etc and would dearly love to spend months travelling.
The Prompt 31 (not finished no 30 yet !) is ‘Oh my – what a view’ and this is a photo I took of Mike last autumn on one of our favourite walks through the bisses in Switzerland where we always stay. I have taken this photo in summer and winter and still love this autumn one the best. I used my new Martha Stewart punch for this with K & Co papers, lots of flowers and jewels and some new butterfly stickers I got from the Range the other day. The challenge was to use letter stickers that you have not used and these are a mixture from old stash.
Prompt 32 was a ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ with a challenge to use at least 6 photos! So having just gotten back from Siviez and taken loads of the meadow flowers on our walks, this is my Wild Side. Again using a Martha Stewart punch to add texture with gems, more butterflies (love the bling on them too) and stamped flowers from Stampin Ups Greenhouse Garden set and that was quite an easy layout, my first bit of scrapping in months after getting involved in a lot of cardmaking.
So I felt I achieved quite a bit yesterday and hope to finish Prompt 30 today before I look at the latest 33 on Karen’s blog!!…
Take care and have a lovely day…
LOTV Four Seasons Challenge
Aug
Evening
I have made a card tonight for the LOTV Challenge, that being The Four Seasons and mine is for summer…
It is the first time I have entered any challenges and as I love Lily of the Valley stamps so much (have I said I want them all!) thought I would try my hand at this.
I used Nestabilities for the mount after colouring the lovely ‘window box’ bear with my Promarkers, the papers are old Hot Off The Press, a Martha Stewart punch for the boarder, leaf punch I bought at The Hobby House and flowers from my stash, a small amount of lime green organza ribbon, then with American Crafts jewel and pearl brads for the centres.
Take care…
LOTV Get Well Soon
Aug
Afternoon
Just had an hour to do some cards so wanted to use my new LOTV stamps, boy these are so cute – I want them all!!
They are both using Papermania papers and the first I decoupaged a little just to add some dimension, flowers from stash and papermania jewels for the centres, coloured in with Promarkers.
The second one I used more muted colours, and used my new set of punches from Martha Stewart from good old QVC.
Take care everyone…
Home again
Aug
Morning
Well, Hubby andI had a fantastic two weeks away in Switzerland, lots of walking, eating and drinking in the sunny skies with friends and the last few days on our own. We really chilled this time and now feel enthused and ready to start some scrapping and cardmaking. I have loads of things to do and a crop to go to on Saturday so must get sorted! I am lucky as we have another three weeks to go before we go back to school so I have quite a few things planned.
Take care…
