SU Starter Kit
Sep
Afternoon
Well, I just had one of those funny moments when you think something and it happens.
I received an email to say my Stampin Up Starter Kit had been shipped so followed this to the UPS site and input the number. OK, going to be with me sometime this afternoon when,
Ding Dong!! UPS man at the door – how funny was that. He said that I was the second person that had said that today. So I have been all excited looking through my kit, remembering what I had ordered, all those lovely stamps, ink pads etc and the catalogue to browse through and order from (and there is not much in there that I don’t want!!)
But of course I have to rest my hands, this is being typed with two fingers, groan… so looking at the catalogue I will do and think about what I can order and make for today and maybe get to do some card making on Saturday at our local crop.
Take care…
Bev’s candy
Sep
Evening
Horrid day today with all the rain and because I have been told by my doctor to not do any work or craft (even typing!) for at least two days. The arthritis in my fingers and thumb have really become acute and very painful so I am stamping down for a few days. So I am browsing…
If you have ever been to Bev Rochester’s blog, just beautiful cards – she has some candy to win which is fantastic – such a lot of it and my fave LOTV too. If you want to win go to All the things I love site and see.
Take care…
LOTV Challenge 66
Sep
Evening
Well, I got to make a card today, yeah hey! This is for LOTV’s challenge Not quite Christmas – I never use pink for Xmas cards, with having boys too I have not used pink a lot in cards or scrapping ever, but I am getting used to it and like pink…
This is one of my fave stamps coloured in with Promarkers and just mounted onto pink cardstock from my stash and a lovely silver ivy leaf card, using Stampin Up’s scallop punch, the background papers are from DCWV , gems from my stash. This is my effort for this week…
Take care
Stampin’ Up
Sep
Afternoon
And what a glorious one it has been. My hubby and I played tennis with one of our sons and his girlfriend this morning in the sunshine for two hours – boy will I ache tomorrow – but it was just so nice to be outside and getting some exercise.
I have joined the Stampin’ Up family as a demonstrator and am very excited about it. I am one of Helen Cronin’s downlines via my lovely friend Jo Dumbleton and now can’t wait for my starter kit to arrive and see all my goodies. Mind you, I seem to have been doing nothing but buying stash from them recently what with 25-50% off so many things in the catalogue until the new one comes in on October 1st. The colours are so lovely let alone my fave thing of all, Stamps!!
So I hope to be busy busy busy over the next few months creating and also going to convention next month with all Jo’s team – so looking forward to that! So there is so much to look forward to I have to thank my hubby for his never ending patience. Although we moved my craft room from my lovely space in our annexe (now we have guests for a few months) into our small study, he can see I am struggling a bit. My youngest son has moved in with his lovely girlfriend so I am going to go into his nice big bedroom instead – so on the move again! But it has to be painted and decorated first and a new floor laid so will a little while before I get in there.
We had our lovely crop with Brenda and David over in West Moors yesterday so I must now sort out my bags from that. We are so lucky with our creative friends as we have another crop with them (Scrap Frenzy) in Ferndown on Wednesday evening then another long standing crop with Linda on Saturday – 3 crops in one week, how lucky am I!!! But must get sorted as I am in school all next week and need to get organized – if you know me well, not a word that comes to mind when you think of me, LOL…
Take care…
LOTV Challenge 65
Sep
Afternoon
It’s so glorious out there and I have spent the morning in the garden cutting back, washing out, t shirt and shorts, heaven…
Then I thought I would do a bit of crafting and looked at this week’s LOTV challenge with Lena Katrine’s layout, just lovely.
So this is my effort using this great stamp coloured in as usual with Promarkers. The flowers are Wild Orchid, papers are Summer papers from My MInds Eye, pink card from Papermania, oval punches for the sentiment from Stampin Up.
Hope you like it, take care….
LOTV Challenge 64 – One for the Boys
Sep
Morning
Well, I have done another LOTV Challenge, this time was to use the stamps they have in their great collection ‘for the boys’.
I love this one with the boy on the computer (reminds me of my sons) and have chosen red, amber and green for the car in the computer – traffic lights of course! – using the nesties for the mount, DCWV papers I have had for ages, Promarkers for the colouring in and chalk for the edging, buttons and gems from my stash and on the inside of the easel card I have used some swirls from the Cricut ‘Cindy Loo’ cartridge.
Hope you like it…take care.
More 4in square cards
Sep
Morning
Well, all my chores are done and I’m off again – love to make these 4in square cards, they are just so quick.
I have been going for simpler cards lately, mainly because of my painful fingers. This one is on Rich Razzleberry/Green Galore cardstock from SU and I stamped the Greenhouse Garden flowers in the same inks on a nesties shape, SU oval punches with a computer written text, SU scalloped punch and ribbon from my stash.
These Bold brights are such glorious colours, stayed with one colour, Only Orange (with Real Red for the centre) and very simple (little flowers and sentiment inside too but not shown) and just an orange button from my stash. Easy peasy…
I am experimenting today (may have to get my washing in in a mo, looks yuk out there) and going to use my new Cricut Create too. The cartridges I got with it have gorgeous flourishes, alpahbets and sentiments on it you can’t go wrong with card making and especially scrapping.
Take care…
SU Greenhouse Garden
Sep
Afternoon again
Love it when it is raining and all my ironing etc is done for the day – I have been able to do a few more cards and sit and play!
I had to use the flash so the Rich Razzleberry looks a bit strange (it is a lovely colour normally!) and the card is white – and another fave in the Greenhouse Garden set – we will be using this set at Jo’s Stamping Extravagnaza on Sunday in Holt – can’t wait. I just used the cottage wall papers and mounted a few of the stamped images on dots to give it more dimension, cut a circle in the RR cardstock after stamping the image a few times on white card. I used the for you sentiment from Happy Moments and my new Tiny Tags stamp I got from Jo on Saturday.
Very wet out there, shame, might do some more cards!!…
SU Yoyo Yellow!
Sep
Afternoon
I love most colours but there are some that no matter what, just jar a little. So I have a pack of Bold Brights from Stampin Up and Yoyo Yellow is one of those that I haven’t used.
Sorry, this has turned a bit dark on publishing – anyway, I had found a pack of yellow, black and grey papers while sorting out my craftroom and was going to throw them, but before I did thought I would use just a few colours. SU has this bright yellow that went quite well with it I thought and I love the Happy Moments stamp set.
This one I also used the Butterfly punch from SU and a few buttons from my stash, a Hero Arts sentiment this time. I don’t think they turned out too bad – now I will have to try and use the bright pinks, greens etc from the pack!!
Take care…
SU Vintage Vogue
Sep
Afternoon
While trying to sort out some of my Xmas stuff into my new space this morning and finding no room at all now for four more large boxes, aargh! I thought I would cheer myself up and make a card.
I love this colour combination of Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, just stamped on white card with the Vintage Vogue set that I always seem to come back to, two simple colours and the lovely cottage wall papers and you can’t go wrong I think. I just raised the small flowers and added a few lime green gems et voila… hope you like it!
Cup of tea before more sorting I think – bye for now.
