Open Day
Mar
Afternoon
My apologies for the lack of posts over the last few weeks. Apart from doing samples from the new Stampin’ Up mini catalogue, Jo Dumbleton and Helen Clifford are helping me with a Craft Open Day at Haskins on 10th April to raise funds for my school, Langside School for Disabled Children. We are raising funds for a very much needed Minibus.
Jo has been wonderful and organised all this event at Haskins, through Stampin’ Up, to show people what crafts you can do with all the great stamp sets, punches and so many more things in this years catalogue. If you love card making, 3D crafts or scrapbooking, or would like to learn a new hobby, come along and see us at Haskins, Ferndown on 10th April between 10.30am and 4pm. There will be raffles, make and takes and demonstrations for you to see and all in such a great cause!!
We have worked hard to make samples for you to see, demonstrate as well as to buy and hopefully will have posts with it all on in the future.
Take care and if you have a few hours to spare on that Sunday, come along and join in the fun!
Quick Cards
Mar
Good afternoon
Just a few more cards, using the SU Neutrals and Woodland Walk Designer Papers…
I have been making some more SU only cards, this time 4×4 in, with Very Vanilla and Crumb cake cardstock. Very simple using a bit of stamping with my favourite Growing Green, Tiny tags on two of the cards, subtles brads, pearls, a few boho flowers and some On Boards Alphabet Soup letters – just so simple.
Bye for now…
Cheese…

Morning
I am getting back into scrapbooking slowly but surely. I have used Stampin’ Up products entirely for this project, mainly the In Colurs Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait.
These are Sunny Garden Designer Series Papers in conjunction with the in colour card. The alphabet is not in the current catalogue and is Big Deal …
The Ribbon is in colour Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait 1/2in stitched poly ribbon, and I have used two SU punches, Boho Blossoms and the ever popular Bird punch together with Punch Potpourri stamp set, soft subtles brads to the flower centers. I have also used (but don’t think you can see very well) at the bottom of the page Silhouette sentiments just to have some stamping on the card.
It’s warm out but no sun here this afternoon – hope this warmth stays, so much bettr for my hands… Take care everyone.
Black, white and gray
Mar
Afternoon
I hadn’t realised how long ago it was since I last posted anything so I apologise for that! I have been very busy creating, but a lot of it is for something I can’t show yet.
I have been making a lot of cards and 3D items in Neutrals from Stampin Up and these two cards are in Whisper White of course, Basic Black, Basic Gray and Crumb Cake on the smaller one. I have used Growing Green (a favourite like Vintage Vogue was last year!) stamped in gray and pu on with dimensionals, together with the old fave Oval All sentiments with a bit of bling, and using the pricking tool to add a bit of texture to one corner. The smaller card (which I know you can’t see very well, taken late afternoon) is using the lovely punches, Silhouette Sentiments and Perfect Punches stamp sets.
Have a lovely weekend everyone – we are off to Team Training with Jo Dumbleton tomorrow – can’t wait!
Fox and Friends
Mar
Afternoon
I have just got this set and have been playing this morning. The Stampin’ Up colours are Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Cajun Craze cardstock, I used the forever popular Bird Punch for the leaves and stamped the animals in So Saffron, Peach Parfait, Sahara Sand and Soft Suede – haven’t made kiddies cards in ages – so enjoyed doing these, though of course they would do for adults too!
Hope this nice warmer weather stays around awhile… take care.
More Scrapbooking
Mar
Afternoon
And the sun is out and it is no where near as cold – yipee!
With Jo’s first Stampin’ n Stuff Scrapbooking set I have made three layouts so far, and still have quite a bit of paper and card left to go. I love this Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler colour combination with the Designer papers.
We had SU Hodgepodge Hardware with this kit (now reduced in the Catalogue to £20.76) and I used the Friendship stamp from the For Everything kit in the top left hand corner of the page, used a few flowers from my stash, SU jewels were also in the kit and cardboard letters. I put glossy accents on the ‘F’ after colouring it black just to make it pop, handcut a heart with I stamped with oneof the Bliss set and cut some Growing Green flowers.
With this layout (from one of Jo’s page maps) I used the jumbo wheel with So Swirly in Sahara Sand, punched out Boho Blossoms, I crimped the black and cream houndstooth check paper though you can’t see that in the photo then put the black and cream ribbon on top. I have just started another layout so may get that photographed this weekend.
Happy scrapbooking!
Flower for all Seasons
Mar
Morning
I was re visiting some not so new to me Stampin’ Up sets yesterday and remembered the four seasons stamp set.
I used Pink Pirouhette and Pretty in Pink card stock from SU, double edging with the scallop trim punch. The stamps were on Whisper White and then using the colour blend pens used some soft subtles to colour in (makes a change for me not to use Promakrers eh!). A very simple card, have embellised inside which I forgot to photo …
Take care and have a lovely weekend.
