Convention Photos
Nov
AFternoon
I have just gotten round to downloading my photos from our few days away at convention – I took 120! mainly of cards but took a few of the girls in ourStampin’Angels team.
On our first evening at the Hotel Jo had organised a buffet and make and take session for 30 or so of us including the Tartan Stampers who were a great bunch of girls, especially Elaine, Dawn and Kirsteen. It was great to meet so main like minded women who love stamping…
Kirsteen says she never takes a good photo but I think she did in this one… We sat for hours, way past midnight catching up with our swaps and chatting away, getting great hints and tips from everyone.
On the Friday morning we had a chance to meet everyone from SU and the European contingent and the afternoon sessions started, they had Prize Patrol and Cath from our group won a great stamp set – woo hoo!
This is Ali, Cath and Jo in our new T shirts – Stampin’ Angels that Jo had printed for us…
We all dressed up for the Awards gala dinner where Jo won three prizes and a walk across the stage to hugs from Shelli Gardiner – what a lovely lady – Jo came 8th int he Country for her Sales and won a trip to Prague with the other British, French and German girls…
and this is the group that is going to Prague with Jenny, Jo (hiding!!) Julie, Monica and Michelle to name but a few all lined up with Shelli – well deserved and hope they have a great time next June!
I took quite a few more but this is already a long post so will leave it there for the moment. We had some great cards to get ideas from and some truly wonderful swaps but that will be another post.
Take care everyone…
Convention!!
Nov
Morning
Can’t tell you what a great time we all had at Convention in Croydon with all Jo’s Stampin Angels team – how great to meet so many wonderful women who all love the same thing – stamping and chatting!!!
I didn’t know what to expect but had such fun meeting everyone, all the European Stampin Up team were so helpful and nice to put a face to a name and especially meeting a seeing all the American Heads of Stampin Up and all their encouragement, demos – boy could I go on… Hence to say I only hope I can keep it up to go to EuroDisney in Paris next November…. How great is that!!
I want to thank Jo especially and our team for their great company and friendship and look forward to sharing more in the future.
Keep Stampin’…. and take care out there xx
Stamp Extravaganza
Oct
Evening
We have a lovely day today at Holt Village Hall for Jo’s Stampin Extravaganza – lots of people turned up and it was great to spend time with the Stampin Angels!! We had demos and makes and takes, along with Jo’s usual Door Prizes and great SU Raffle. Her lovely Mum Shirley was great supplying everyone with tea and cakes and I think everyone enjoyed it, I certainly did - so nice to spend time with like minded women!!
I think it was a great way to have an ‘Open House’ with having room to show off the Stampin Up products.
On a serious note I hope Lesley is OK after a nasty fall at the end of the day in the car park – Jo drove her to the hospital so get well soon Lesley.
Take care everyone…
More Darling Dots
Oct
Afternoon
Well, I managed to play a bit more this afternoon with the SU’s Darling Dots, they are so cute for these 4×4 in cards, again using the Beautiful Petals paper (other side of the dots).
This time I used Stampin Up’s Tempting Turquoise, Riding Hood Red and Wild Wasabi inks, they are such lovely colours, the Darling Dots and Wow Flowers stamp sets and a few gems from my stash – I am liking simple cards at the moment!
Take care everyone…
Diamond stamp
Oct
Morning
So lovely and bright in here this morning, not a cloud in the sky out there but chilly…
We held a Craft Table top sale yesterday with our Scrap Frenzy team in Ferndown and had a very nice turn out, thank you for those who came over. I promised my hubby that I would not spend anything at all but could not resist this stamp by Diamonds (never seen these before) and as I make cards for a local hospital thought it quite apt!
I simply coloured this in with Copics (don’t have the nos sorry) and just left it like that as my stupid fingers are still too sore.
May go for a walk this afternoon, it is just so glorious out there. Take care everyone…
New Craft Room
Oct
Well, I am half way there with my new space – boy am I lucky to have all this!! I still have quite a few boxes and a filing cabinet to sort then I can make everything look pretty and not so functional!
My new 5×5 Expedit unit, looks nice against the Marina Mist wall! Still have loads to put in there and then tweak it but such a useful space…
My A4 stacker boxes for all my papers and card, a new Alex drawer (I now have two) from Ikea wita a space for just my Cuttlebug…
My tv to watch crafting!along with shelving for boxes, glass jars etc – all these have to be organised properly but I just had to take photos as I am so so pleased with my space…
My computer and printer with a dedicated space for my Cricut!!….
and my workspace (with a view of the boxes and 12×12 drawers I have yet to sort out…
We painted it Marina blue and Nickel grey, got dark grey blinds from Ikea too for my sunny south facing windows and I am sorted. The drawers nearest me and another Alex drawer is all for my Stampin Up products so they are all near to me, stamps and acrylics in my other drawer unit, papers and cardstock in the expedit and I have more boxes to cover and pretty up so lots and lots to do yet.
Take care…
Great Weekend
Oct
Morning
Sitting here in the sunshine in my new craft room! While I was away this weekend my wonderful hubby finished my new room (my sons bedroom), put new flooring in, painted, put up blinds and an expedit unit, shelves and many more, brought all my stuff upstairs – no mean task at all – and now I will spend days just trying to sort it all out into its new home. I will take pictures …
I want to thank the girls at Scrap Frenzy – ten of us went away this weekend to Tincleton Lodge in Dorset to enjoy a scrapping weekend and we had such fun. A fab place to stay in peace and quiet with enough room for us all, a bit tight on space to scrap but we managed and we all had such fun. I didn’t get as much stuff done as I wanted because of my sore hands but just to sit and talk with all our friends was a true tonic this weekend.
So Thank You Helen, Jo, Fleur, Ellen, Brenda, Christine, Ali, Anna and Sue for your great company, shared food and drink and many laughs – photos will follow!!
Take care…
SU Starter Kit
Sep
Afternoon
Well, I just had one of those funny moments when you think something and it happens.
I received an email to say my Stampin Up Starter Kit had been shipped so followed this to the UPS site and input the number. OK, going to be with me sometime this afternoon when,
Ding Dong!! UPS man at the door – how funny was that. He said that I was the second person that had said that today. So I have been all excited looking through my kit, remembering what I had ordered, all those lovely stamps, ink pads etc and the catalogue to browse through and order from (and there is not much in there that I don’t want!!)
But of course I have to rest my hands, this is being typed with two fingers, groan… so looking at the catalogue I will do and think about what I can order and make for today and maybe get to do some card making on Saturday at our local crop.
Take care…
Bev’s candy
Sep
Evening
Horrid day today with all the rain and because I have been told by my doctor to not do any work or craft (even typing!) for at least two days. The arthritis in my fingers and thumb have really become acute and very painful so I am stamping down for a few days. So I am browsing…
If you have ever been to Bev Rochester’s blog, just beautiful cards – she has some candy to win which is fantastic – such a lot of it and my fave LOTV too. If you want to win go to All the things I love site and see.
Take care…
LOTV Challenge 66
Sep
Evening
Well, I got to make a card today, yeah hey! This is for LOTV’s challenge Not quite Christmas – I never use pink for Xmas cards, with having boys too I have not used pink a lot in cards or scrapping ever, but I am getting used to it and like pink…
This is one of my fave stamps coloured in with Promarkers and just mounted onto pink cardstock from my stash and a lovely silver ivy leaf card, using Stampin Up’s scallop punch, the background papers are from DCWV , gems from my stash. This is my effort for this week…
Take care
