Sorry to be cryptic
Jan
Evening
I am not often upset or angry or disappointed by people but at the moment I am all three at one person who is seriously letting us down – just had to put this thought down on paper to see if it made me feel any better, hhmmmm – will let you know. Some people surprise the b—–y hell out of me sometimes…
We went to our lovely crop at West Moors last night where I finished one scrapbook page and then stamped a whole load of characters (Penny Black mostly) for my cards and had a great chat with all the girlies – Helen, Jo, Ellen, Anna and Fleur mostly! We are looking at having a scrapbook retreat in October and are all very excited about the prospect and Jo and Ellen are having a great time finding properties for a long weekend.
I am stuck on what to do photo wise for prompt 3 of the 52 in 10 – I know what to do for my ‘What I know now that I wish I had thought about consquences later!’ so may have to raid my mothers photo albums and scan a photo so hopefully will find something before our crop on Saturday in Moordown with Linda.
Nothing to show today – just wanted to talk.

Nearly there…
Jan
Evening
Well, we had a lovely day as usual at our local crop in West Moors today and I picked up my Stampers 8 parcel from Jo with my new stamps – this time the Whimsical Butterflies and the little houses which I can’t wait to use on my cards – if you have never seen Stampin Up, go to Jo’s blog on my sidebar to see all their lovely stuff.
I am nearly there with this week’s 52 in 10 with Scrapdolly (I know, another propt tomorrow!!) but I forgot my photos for the page so may get a chance to finish that tomorrow.
Got home and Mike had cooked dinner – can’t get a better day than that, a full day crop then a meal waiting for me – bliss. Now a glass of wine and that will be the end to a great day…

5210 – First Page!
Jan

Well afternoon!
I have joined Karen Leahy’s (Dollysdreamings!) 5210 class and as I haven’t been scrapbooking for months after making card after card, this is going to be quite a challenge for me – but one I really need. I felt I had lost my mojo for scrapping and am hoping this ‘page a week’ project will get me back into the swing of things.
She has wonderful prompts, very though provoking and this project is going to be mostly about ‘self’, something I have never really put down on paper before. So looking forward to this with some trepidation!
The paper is DCWV with a few of their flower embellishments too and I just realised that the 1999 must have fallen off before I took the photo… The rub ons I have had in my stash for ever and I am naughty and have typed the journaling for this week – I will hand write some of them honestly Karen!
The second prompt is about goals and aims for this year, have just downloaded and printed it off as there is a lot on it to read. If anyone wants a challenge go to my sidebar and look at Karen’s site – she is a great blogger as well as scrapbooker so enjoy!
Thanks for looking

Shutter Card Album
Jan

Well, as promised I have taken some photos of the gorgeous Shutter Card Album we did for Christmas with Jo – I kept it for myself! I did make another one for my friend Lucy in the States as I know she appreciates a handmade gift and hope she will copy it to get her started on her crafting too.
It is all made from Stampin Up card, paper, brads and embellishments – see Jo on her site on my links – isn’t she so clever!!
Thanks for looking.

Happy New Year
Jan
Morning
Bright and crispy here today so will be spending time indoors as it is so cold everywhere – maybe get to do some card making eh!
It was very busy for me before Xmas hence no blog, made and gave 79 individual cards to family and friends and that kinda wiped me out. We did some lovely classes with Jo Dumbleton at Stampin Up during December too and will take photos of the things we did, just such lovely ideas with great paper and embellishments.
Then I was on holiday with my family for a week from Boxing Day skiing near Verbier in a little place called Siviez in the Four Valleys – to say we had snow was an understatement but it was great fun, managed to get some good skiing in and apres with our family and friends – superb.
So, I am ready to start again for the new year – in fact I have started my first class with Karen Leahy’s 5210 free download class, just finished all the journaling and now trying to find the right photos for the first page! Karen is a great blogger and scrapbooker, www.dollysdreamings.typepad.com if you want to be truly inspired. With such a busy job and lifestyle, I really don’t know how she makes the time to do all the work she does. We are at our local crop tomorrow night at Scrapfrenzy in Ferndown so hope I will get it all ready to scrap.
OK, will try and get Jo’s wonderful projects down on camera, if not go to Jo’s blog on my sidebar as I think she has photos on her site of the projects we did.
Thanks for looking!

Nearly December!
Nov
Afternoon
Well, Christmas is nearly here and I have just about made all my cards – as I make a card for everyone I send to (62) and no one is the same – all originals! – they take a long time and I have not really posted any and all my other cards have gone on hold for the moment.
We did a wonderful class with Jo from STampin Up last Thursday (go to her blog on my side bar and you will see the gorgeous box and cards she designed for our class). I know you can buy the class from her too – such fun to do with our great crowd of friends.
We are doing another one with Jo on Thursday too for a Shutter Album with the Stampin Up gear so can’t wait to do that one – think we will have 8 round my table for that one.
So sorry no cards today, tried to do some Christmas shopping after visiting with my Mum, sister and great niece and did get a few things for my grown up boys. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day at this time of year, this afternoon after all that horrid rain!

Umbrella Girls
Nov

Well, I have at long last gotten round to doing some cards. My sister bought me this stamp in Hawaii (lucky girl!) and have used it for some birthday cards today.
The papers are from my stash from long ago, the statement stamps are from Jo at Stampin Up used with their oval punches which are great – can’t say enough about the quality of Stampin Up! Ribbon and flowers are from Craft Obsessions and the umbrella ornaments were from The Range.
Hope you like them and that I can get more time to create!

Sorry I haven’t been writing or posting anything recently. My hubby and I went away over the half term holidays to Switzerland which was lovely and I have been scrapbooking the autumn foliage photos I took. If I get round to taking photos of them I will post them! Also, I have been making loads of family and friends Christmas cards which just seem to be taking forever and haven’t really gotten around to anything really creative.
I have bought quite a few new STampin Up sets since then, more papers and ink sets too which were badly needed so will get back to it as soon as I can.
My sister, friends and I are doing a lovely project with Jo this week making one of her Christmas tins with cards inside which will hopefully give me some more ideas – she has so many, especially after being at the european weekend away with Stampin Up recently.
Look in when you can,
Julie
Starting to think of Christmas!
Sep

Monring
Well, this is scary, starting to think of Christmas though I know loads of us card makers are on the same page, we cannot buy any cards and are totting up how many family and friends we have to send to…
I went to my local crop the other evening, Scrapfrenzy in Ferndown, with our lovely group of scrappers but decided to make cards this time, so did a lot of stamping and colouring in with my Copics, and did a few decoupage cards. This is a freebie from Cardmaking and Papercraft on Papermania papers,
Have loads more to do, by for now,
Julie
Hello again
Aug
Well, I have been on holiday for the last three weeks in Switzerland, wonderful holiday with my hubby and some of my family – we had fantastic weather, great walks and good company, and of course good food and wine helped!
Hopefully I can get back to work in the next few days, make some cards and do some scrapbooking - I took over 600 photos so need to sort them out and get them on paper, can’t wait!
See you soon..
