Stampin’ Up

Afternoon

And what a glorious one it has been. My hubby and I played tennis with one of our sons and his girlfriend this morning in the sunshine for two hours – boy will I ache tomorrow – but it was just so nice to be outside and getting some exercise.

I have joined the Stampin’ Up family as a demonstrator and am very excited about it.  I am one of  Helen Cronin’s downlines via my lovely friend Jo Dumbleton and now can’t wait for my starter kit to arrive and see all my goodies. Mind you, I seem to have been doing nothing but buying stash from them recently what with 25-50% off so many things in the catalogue until the new one comes in on October 1st.  The colours are so lovely let alone my fave thing of all, Stamps!!

So I hope to be busy busy busy over the next few months creating and also going to convention next month with all Jo’s team – so looking forward to that!  So there is so much to look forward to I have to thank my hubby for his never ending patience.  Although we moved my craft room from my lovely space in our annexe (now we have guests for a few months) into our small study, he can see I am struggling a bit.  My youngest son has moved in with his lovely girlfriend so I am going to go into his nice big bedroom instead – so on the move again!  But it has to be painted and decorated first and a new floor laid so will a little while before I get in there.

We had our lovely crop with Brenda and David over in West Moors yesterday so I must now sort out my bags from that.  We are so lucky with our creative friends as we have another crop with them (Scrap Frenzy) in Ferndown on Wednesday evening then another long standing crop with Linda on Saturday – 3 crops in one week, how lucky am I!!!  But must get sorted as I am in school all next week and need to get organized – if you know me well, not a word that comes to mind when you think of me, LOL…

Take care…

LOTV Challenge 65

Afternoon

It’s so glorious out there and I have spent the morning in the garden cutting back, washing out, t shirt and shorts, heaven…

Then I thought I would do a bit of crafting and looked at this week’s LOTV challenge with Lena Katrine’s layout, just lovely.

So this is my effort using this great stamp coloured in as usual with Promarkers.  The flowers are Wild Orchid, papers are Summer papers from My MInds Eye, pink card from Papermania, oval punches for the sentiment  from Stampin Up.

Hope you like it, take care….

LOTV Challenge 64 – One for the Boys

11
Sep

Morning

Well, I have done another LOTV Challenge, this time was to use the stamps they have in their great collection ‘for the boys’.

I love this one with the boy on the computer (reminds me of my sons) and have chosen red, amber and green for the car in the computer – traffic lights of course! – using the nesties for the mount, DCWV papers I have had for ages, Promarkers for the colouring in and chalk for the edging, buttons and gems from my stash and on the inside of the easel card I have used some swirls from the Cricut ‘Cindy Loo’ cartridge.

Hope you like it…take care.

SU Vintage Vogue

Afternoon

While trying to sort out some of my Xmas stuff into my new space this morning and finding no room at all now for four more large boxes, aargh! I thought I would cheer myself up and make a card.

I love this colour combination of  Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, just stamped on white card with the Vintage Vogue set that I always seem to come back to, two simple colours and the lovely cottage wall papers and you can’t go wrong I think.  I just raised the small flowers and added a few lime green gems et voila… hope you like it!

Cup of tea before more sorting I think – bye for now.

Hello again

Evening

Well, I have been very busy at home, hubby has been painting, decorating and putting in a new downstairs cloakroom which looks great, along with laying a new wooden floor in the hall and study.  I have been trying to get all my craft stuff from one lovely big space to a now very small one (sigh) but needs must but still have nowhere to put my Christmas boxes – I may have to purloin my sons wardrobe to fit it all in!

And of course we went back to  school on Wednesday and just don’t seem to know where the five and a half weeks went of the holidays.  I hate routine, am quite the spur of the moment type but have had no real time to do scrapbooking or cards recently. We have had a weekened away and family visits and the time has just flown…A lso my arthritis has made my fingers really painful, especially in my left knuckles so difficult to do alot of work.

I have started Rosemary Conley Diet and Exercise with my Sis (she is doing so well and now lost 20 pounds and many inches) so hoping to lose about the same myself, slowly but surely.

So after a manic few weeks and going to three lovely crops this week, I am nearly caught up with my scrapbooking for the 52 in 10 project with Scrapdolly and my NZ album, only a few of those left to do now.  So you never know, I might actually get some photos on my blog this week!

Take care…

LOTV Challenge 61

Evening

Well what another grotty day we have had, just had to do some stamping to cheer me up!

So there is a new challenge on the Lilly of the Valley site this week which is a lovely layout and this is my card for that.  It took ages to find which stamp I was going to use but this is what I came up with …

I have never done challenges before as I have always wanted to look at what other people have been doing, but am having my second go and have liked the challenge…

I used the nesties and a lace doily for the mount, then used Stampin Up papers  and old ribbon from my stash.  I used  my Marth Stewart corner punch and the fairy is coloured in with Promarkers, glittering the wings and dress and gel dots.

Take care

LOTV Four Seasons Challenge

13
Aug

Evening

I have made a card tonight for the LOTV Challenge, that being The Four Seasons and mine is for summer…

It is the first time I have entered any challenges and as I love Lily of the Valley stamps so much (have I said I want them all!) thought I would try my hand at this.

I used Nestabilities for the mount after colouring the lovely ‘window box’ bear with my Promarkers, the papers are old Hot Off The Press, a Martha Stewart punch for the boarder, leaf punch I bought at The Hobby House and flowers from my stash, a small amount of lime green organza ribbon, then with American Crafts jewel and pearl brads for the centres.

Take care…

Home again

Morning

Well, Hubby andI had a fantastic two weeks away in Switzerland, lots of walking, eating and drinking in the sunny skies with friends and the last few days on our own.  We really chilled this time and now feel enthused and ready to start some scrapping and cardmaking.  I have loads of things to do and a crop to go to on Saturday so must get sorted! I am lucky as we have another three weeks to go before we go back to school so I have quite a few things planned.

Take care…

Workdesk Wednesday

14
Jul

Morning

Well, I decided to do What’s on your workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW) challenge today and I have got to say it’s work and not too much of a mess – wonders will never cease!  If you follow www.Debby4000.blogspot.com   and her fantastic cards that she makes, you will see what I mean – Debby has done this challenge for quite a while now and changed her craft room like me recently.  She is a great 3D cardmaker, a must see…

I have been making little birdhouse cards using the Stampin Up punch from Jo at Stampin Up – it is such a lovely punch and my inspiration is from Jo’s Blog, another great friend and cardmaker.  I am doing Thank You cards for the girls in my class at school for another lovely term in Community Group at Langside School, Poole.  I used Daisy D’s papers and Core Dinations black magic card, a bit messy but never mind.

I am thinking about pressies too and Jo did a great class at our last Extravaganza called Sweet Treat Stationery Holder and a birdhouse sweet treat holder (on her blog) so will try and finish them today.  (Sorry, photo is a bit blurred). Looks like I am going to be busy!

Take care…

Craft Space

13
Jul

OK, took a few photos of my new space (about a quarter of the space I had originally for 6 years – what a lucky girl was I!!) but now I know, nearly, where everything is and I have put aside so much stuff to get rid of too.  I am a great hoarder and that is very hard for me to do but needs must.

I have quite a few shelves now in place along with my Alex drawer from Ikea (love it) and my two three drawer 12×12 drawers on the left that no scrapbooker can do without.  It is still a work in progress and my workspace is very tidy for me (I work in absolute chaos!).

Things will definately move around as I go on but as long as I have my punches, pens and cardstock close to hand I am a happy bunny.

Then on the other side of my galley space I have my computer, printer, scanner etc, more shelf storage, file drawers (not sorted out yet and indeed a work in progress) and my stacker boxes for paper, card and projects.  It has taken nearly a week to complete, I have at last got my computer up and running again and can get some work done!

Bye for now…
