I just used the scallop border punch and tried not to make it too over the top as it is for a man!  Though I had to do something and used a fine tip to ‘edge’ the card, with the coloured in cherries punched with the cupcake punch and the heart.

Ok, I have made lots of cards recently and as I said, mostly for family, now all done so can be a bit more creative again.  Hope you are having a lovely week, still very cool here and today they said we wouldn’t get any decent temperatures until we were out of May – think it is going to be a looong month…

More Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Chocolate Chip, the Textured Impressions heart die and a few rhinestones, oh and of course, Create a Cupcake stamp set – all Stampin’ Up. The DSP is Beyond the Garden again and another simple layout.

I think that is the last of my cards for family at the moment, though I have done a male version of this in red and grey I might post. Have a good week everyone!

As I said before, yellow is not a colour I normally use but it is my challenge to myself this month to do just that, and believe me, I do have SU colours that I rarely use except for an accent, and this is another yellow day…

The new Addorning Accent embossing dies from SU are just lovely and easy to use, together with the Beyond the Garden DSP, all bright colours, make a cheery card for this time of year.  I have layered the flowers from the Daffodil Delight to the tangerines in the papers, one of the large buttons for the centre with white twine and the Little Leaves die for the white leaves. This is for a Get Well Soon card for a friend who is poorly so might cheer her up.  Bye for now!

I do love  Stampin Up’s Create a Cupcake stamps set and punch, it is such fun and you can do so much with it.  I have left this with just three colours apart from the Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Marina Mist. I have been getting into the Brights recently  but this is just plain and simple for a man’s birthday. May and June are some of our families busiest card giving times so I have a lot to finish. I used the dots from the punch instead of the candles, they are way too fiddly for my poor hands these days. It is embellished inside as well but haven’t taken a photo of that.

I adapted this card from a swap I made for Jo’s Team Training Day a few weekends ago and had a few left over to make some quick cards with.  I love the Hostess papers we had and used  some of the new ruffle ribbon in Lucky Limeade too. I used an embossing frame die (all from SU) and the Top Note die, the Leaflets die, punched flowers and pearls and the other colour is mainly Melon Mambo with a bit of Concord Crush (another colour I very rarely use) – very bright for me but I like the change sometimes. I had quite a few outer edges left over from using the Top Note Die from SU in various colours, so thought I would use them up (I waste nothing!)   I used the old papers from saleabration which I loved (hope they come back in the next catalogue), Pool Party and Calypso Coral are the main colours which go nicely with the papers,  and the new flower die too;  I put lots of the flowers together which you can’t see really well in this photo, added a bright flower brad and a few rhinestones and I quite liked it, hope you do too.

Sun is still shining out there so I am going to have my lunch outside, bye for now!

Anyway, also put up my new birdfeeder which the pidgeons seem hell bent on destroying so it prompted me to use a set I hadn’t even looked at! from SU.  I used Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and Coral Calypso, some Basic Pearls and also the Everything Eleanor flourish to make a ‘welcome to your new home’ card for a friend who also loves birds!  She liked the metaphor…

Ok, time for me to tidy my desk, it  just looks like a bomb has hit it and I have scrapbooking to start for my friend’s wedding ‘album’ I am making her as a surprise and for once, I am not starting a project without clearing up from the last – I know we all do it but am trying to tidy my mind seeing as the house is in an abolute tip with all the building and decorating going on downstairs. I am sooo lucky to have my sanctuary, thanks hubby xx

It is so nice to be off school for a few weeks and I am trying to sort out the rest of my Craft Room since we moved in – I still must have a box of stuff in the garage under the mountains of the other stuff we have yet to unpack as I can’t find some things, like my scoring boards and mats.

So this is wedding season and have made another card using the SU Marry Me stamps – I used the Manhattan flowers embossing plate to give some definition to the Whisper White card, stamped the image in black and in the embossing frame, punched a few flowers and added the polka dot black ribbon. I liked it and looks better in real life – my camera has now packed up completely in auto focus, everything is manual and my eyesight is obviously bad!!  Bye for now…

I made this card for a friends birthday yesterday and seeing as she looks at my blog I can now show it!  All SU stuff using the Sale-a-bration papers with Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade ribbon, the flowers are from the papers too edged in Early Espresso with pearls using one of the Flower dies and punches. It is a simple design from one of the online ‘card maps’ we use, so useful when you don’t know where to begin.

Right, going outside with a magazine and a coffee to enjoy the sunshine – have to go shopping later for a wedding outfit (wish I had lost the weight I needed to fit it to my first choice outfit!) then I am going to do some gardening… bliss! Bye for now.
