Layout No 2
Good morning…
Weather report, cloudy again but hot and very humid, makes you feel kinda tired and lazy. We have friends coming round so I have been baking brownies and cupcakes, they smell nice!
So, on to layout no. 2 from yesterdays crop, thought I would finish it on Saturday but TV was lousy last night so finished it then.
I am making an album of our recent trip to Paris and am using all the Stampin’ Up Springtime Vintage papers for it – I just love all the colours and you can do so much with them. This is Jo’s second layout using the Baja Breeze combination with Not Quite Navy and Always Artichoke – I love the flowers that we ‘rock and rolled’ to get the two tone effect with nice brads (in the kit) and pearls, more butterflies and Seam Binding ribbon. I should have done some more ribbon roses but my fingers just won’t let me today so this is my interpretation of the layout instead. You can get four or five layouts from this kit, so am taking more papers to the crop tomorrow.
Have a lovely afternoon and weekend…

Springtime Vintage Crop
Good afternoon
Lovely sunshine outside but I have been finishing off my layout we started at Jo Dumbleton’s crop this morning. We had a great time creating two layouts from this months Scrapbooking Kit using Springtime Vintage DSP, together with ribbons, brads and pearls…
Such a lovely design, thank you Jo, for this layout and I enjoyed doing the crimping and edging for the surround for the circular mat – never thought of doing that before and it turned out great. Also we made more ribbon roses like the ones on Jo’s tutorial (www.stampin-n-stuff.blogspot.com) quite a bit of stamping and die cutting but it is just lovely. Sorry, but my photo has turned out a bit darker than I expected – don’t know what is going wrong there! – but I expect Jo has some more kits left if anyone wants to try it. I have the second to finish now so may finish that at our Saturday crop.
Take care and have a lovely afternoon…

Old Harry Rocks
Good Afternoon
No crafting yet today as the sun was shining, Mike and I went for a walk over the Old Harry Rocks after crossing the ferry at Sandbanks, and had a picnic up on the top overlooking Bournemouth Bay and then walked on to Swanage before the thick clouds came…
It was sooo warm up there after the mile walk and not many people at all, we sat and had some lunch then moved further up the coastal walk …
and walked round until we could see Swanage, bathed in sunshine, but Poole and Bournemouth were not! by then, started to spit spot so decided to head home. We were out three hours altogether, took loads of photos, especially of the lovely wildflowers that grow all along the headland and may scrap them this weekend at our local crop. So might get some crafting done this afternoon, have to pack for Jo’s Crop at Holt tomorrow morning and also a bag for Lindas on Saturday – nice to thnk we can be busy doing what we love hey!

Notre Dame
Good morning
The sun is shining and thought I would get my layout finished before I went outside and did some dead heading and general tidying up in the garden…
These are all Stampin’ Up products used in the layout, and also the colours needed for this weeks ‘The Color Room’ palette 68. I used Rose Red, Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake for this, together with the Designer papers which I love the best from the collection, Springtime Vintage. I made the roses from Jo’s first video tutorial, woo hoo! – didn’t Jo do well (www.stampin-n-stuff.blogspot.com) – hurt my sore hands though after all that, blah – glad I can try and rest them at the moment and I glittered some larger flowers using SU punches and ‘rolled’ the inside of the flowers too.
Ok, going outside to enjoy the sunshine. Let’s hope it lasts….

Just two colours
Good afternoon…
I thought I would make a card today just using two colours, Stampin’ Ups Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla – this is for a friend of mine who is half way through her chemo, very brave lady, and I am doing a card class for her very soon, just something different to keep mind off everything for a few short hours…
I will be showing her how to use the Big Shot so have embossed the Very Vanilla in the Vintage Wallpaper, Little leaves sizzlits die, embosslits beautiful wings, and used the punches for extra texture, pearls and ribbon to match. I can’t find my Blushing Bride ink pad so used the marker pen instead, hence the slight difference in the shade for the sentiment from the Just Believe stamp set.
Right, no rain but lots of cloud so going to get outside and plant lots of the flowers I got at the Garden Centre this morning – my french lavender pots by the back door have finally stopped flowering so need a bit of colour, have bought geraniums, cosmos daisies and dahlias to make a change.
Take care and have a great weekend…

Simply Stampin’ Challenge
Morning – I won a challenge for Simply Stampin’ Challenge no. 16 with two other crafters- woo hoo!! so have put the Top 3 banner on my post (until my son can show me how to put it on my sidebar!) I don’t often win anything so I am really pleased with this.
This is a site for mainly using Stampin’ Up products in cards/scrapbooking and each week it can be a card layout, colour challenge (like the one for this week no 17) or anything but a card. So if you haven’t heard of this blog, so to www.simplystampinchallenge.blogspot.com and have a go!
Have a healthy and happy weekend – the thought of not having to go to work at school for six weeks is just wonderful (so sorry for anyone who hasn’t got a holiday!!)

Challenge 16
Good Afternoon
Still raining, boo, so more crafting, yeah!
So I decided to do one of the challenges I like, the Simply Stamping Challenge using Stampin’ Up products. This week’s was a layout challenge and this is my take on it…
This was using the Elegant Soiree Designer papers, Baja Breeze cardstock and ink, Marina Mist grosgrain ribbon, Build a Blossom stamp set from the mini catty stamped on Crumb Cake, with an old fave sentiment. I glittered the centre but didn’t like it, couldn’t get rid of it so covered it with rhinestones, but it still shows on the photo… Oh well, no mistakes just happy accidents.

More Pink and Blue…
Good morning
Raining again here, so after my costly visit to the dentist this morning I looked at my ironing pile, and came straight up to my craft room to make some cards…
I must be in pink and blue mode and saw some similar cards to these yesterday as I blog hopped (such a lovely way to waste many hours) yesterday, and can’t for the life of me remember who had these on her post. They were lovely anyway so have unashamedly lifted the idea and done my own version…
The blue is Stampin’ Ups Marina Mist with Whisper White and Basic Black, and the pink is Blushing Bride, Whisper White and Early Espresso, glitter, pearls and my favourite butterflies die, they seem to turn up on all my projects! I used the scallop border punch and circle punches too – simple and quite sweet I think…
I am making some boxes for gifts for the other support assistant girls in my class today so may get a chance to show them tomorrow. I have to make some thank you cards for them too so will be a busy day. Take care and have fun!

Pink and Blue
Morning
Hope you are all having a nice weekend, dull here today and a bit of rain – perfect for crafting!!
I haven’t done a card for the LOTV challenge for ages so thought I would do one for a change. The theme this time is pink and blue and I ordered the new girlie stamps, just gorgeous, and this is my card for this challenge…
I used the Stampin’ Up butterflies die with some pearls too, a bit of glitter here and there, coloured in with Promarkers…
Only another week before we finish school, don’t know why but this seems to have been a really long term and I for one will be glad of the six weeks break. Take care everyone…

TCR – No 66
Good afternoon
My hubby treated me to a wonderful weekend away in Paris with our friends, boat cruise down the Seine, walking forever! to see all the great sights of Paris, and a wonderful evening at the Moulin Rouge with VIP tickets with Mumm champagne courtesy of our friend Steve – what a wonderful show, fantastic costumes, dancing and sets – how romantic our men were this weekend, feel very blessed and the evening made my weekend away …xxx
Anyway, we had another family surprise, our youngest son Benjamin asked his girlfriend Jessica to marry him while on holiday last week and she said ‘Yes’!! Woo Hoo – so this layout I have done is of her ring and seconds after his proposal in the Dordogne, high on a hilltop overlooking vineyards, picnic and champagne – aaaah…
So this is my layout for The Color Room challenge no 66, very colourful especially for me (though I do seem to be heading that way with my layouts recently).
Take care everyone…
