52 in 10 - No 5
My page for the fifth 52 in 10 prompt finished, I must admit to loving only to have to do one a week but it is taking my til the end of the week to finish them - I am such a slow scrapbooker…
This is quite bright for me too but wanted it to feel a happy page. All the paper and card are from old stash that I am trying to use, including loads of prima flowers and buttons, and the silver butterfly charms - the photo of Mike and me and our two grown up sons I have scrapped quite a few times but wanted something to go with the bright paper. Orange is a colour I don’t use very often and I like the quotes -
‘This is the ideal life’ - Mark Twain and ‘Where there is great love there are always wishes’ - Willa Cather.
Thanks for looking

Umbrella Anya

Afternoon
Cloudy out now so thought I would get a chance to do a few cards, then my Mum reminded me that while we are away, we have seven family birthdays!! So I have been busy doing some of them, four mens though, sooo hard but love the new stamps set we got at our Extravaganza last weekend with the birthday cake and stand set, can be used for boys or girls, so will come in very handy as I do them this afternoon!
I love this Anya set (beach girl and snow togged girl in the same set) and tried to do it in different colours for me so chose bright red and lime green and I liked it. I love the umbrella embellishments, everything else is from my stash.
Hope you like it.

busy busy busy

Well, I have been a busy girl today. These are a set of cards I have made for my friends Sue and Jayne at school who are covering for me whilst my hubby and I are away in New Zealand soon. Just got to think of a way now to box them for the gift. I hope they like them!
They are all Stampin Up - such fantastic stamps - coloured in with copic and promarker pens, glitter from stampin up and the papers are Minds Eye from the springtime set.

52 in 1- no 4

Morning
Well this is the fourth prompt scrap page which I really enjoyed doing. The 7o’s music scene really inspired my music of choice through the years and it was good to put it to paper. I don’t seem to be able to do a page without a photo so cheated with this image of the lovely John Travolta! You can’t see the writing very well but it says my fave singers and groups, Michael Jackson, David Cassidy, The Osmonds, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple - yeah I know a bit diverse, but loved them all in my teens…
Hope you like it.

Anya - hearts

This is one of my favourite Anya stamps that I wanted to do in paler colours but ended up with a retro paper from my stash. I have added flowers and the lovely umbrella charm with hearts on it to, ribbon from Craft Obsessions and the ‘fabulous friend’ stamp is Stampin Up along with the oval and scalloped punch.
Hope you like it.

Thank You
This is just a quick thank you to Jo and Jenny for giving us all a great day out yesterday at our Stamp Extravaganza - the tables were laden with personal gifts for everyone so beautifully decorated, a lovely homemade lunch and our three projects we made during the day. For their first big day they did us proud and I can’t wait for the next one.
Many thanks for Jo Dumbleton and Jenny Moors!!!

52 in 10 prompt 3

Morning
This is the third prompt from Scrapdolly which I finished at our lovely crop yesterday in Moordown - we had such a nice day as always, just chatting away with my sister Helen, Jo, Ellen and Fleur and all the other girls at the crop - it is amazing any of us gets anything done really!
This is all about ‘what I would say now to my younger self’ - the photo is of me and Helen when we were four. The paper is from Stampin Up - they have such lovely coordinating double sided papers - and embossed white card. The brads and ribbon are from David at Craft Obsessions. I layered these and made myself a ‘note to self’ book which is stitched, love that look, but haven’t shown it open as it is quite personal, maybe show it later, tied down with ribbon. I really loved putting this one together, whether it is using pinks, what with having boys, I rarely use such girlie colours. Next prompt today!!
Hope you like it, it is back to card making today as I have quite a few birthdays coming up and of course Valentines Day.

Sorry to be cryptic
Evening
I am not often upset or angry or disappointed by people but at the moment I am all three at one person who is seriously letting us down - just had to put this thought down on paper to see if it made me feel any better, hhmmmm - will let you know. Some people surprise the b—–y hell out of me sometimes…
We went to our lovely crop at West Moors last night where I finished one scrapbook page and then stamped a whole load of characters (Penny Black mostly) for my cards and had a great chat with all the girlies - Helen, Jo, Ellen, Anna and Fleur mostly! We are looking at having a scrapbook retreat in October and are all very excited about the prospect and Jo and Ellen are having a great time finding properties for a long weekend.
I am stuck on what to do photo wise for prompt 3 of the 52 in 10 - I know what to do for my ‘What I know now that I wish I had thought about consquences later!’ so may have to raid my mothers photo albums and scan a photo so hopefully will find something before our crop on Saturday in Moordown with Linda.
Nothing to show today - just wanted to talk.

52in10 Aims & Goals

Morning
Well at last I have finished prompt 2 for the 52 in10 challenge - the papers are old K & Co ones with DCWV bazzil that matched. All four sections fan out to hold my hidden journaling which is all about getting myself thinner and fitter this year, hopefully at last moving house and the last, to take better photographs (something I took up last year on an OCNW Photography course and have lapsed this year).
The stamps used are from Stampin Up their Whimsical Butterflies which are lovely and I have stitched around the outside of the four sections. This has been a challenge for me that I really enjoyed.

Nearly there…
Evening
Well, we had a lovely day as usual at our local crop in West Moors today and I picked up my Stampers 8 parcel from Jo with my new stamps - this time the Whimsical Butterflies and the little houses which I can’t wait to use on my cards - if you have never seen Stampin Up, go to Jo’s blog on my sidebar to see all their lovely stuff.
I am nearly there with this week’s 52 in 10 with Scrapdolly (I know, another propt tomorrow!!) but I forgot my photos for the page so may get a chance to finish that tomorrow.
Got home and Mike had cooked dinner - can’t get a better day than that, a full day crop then a meal waiting for me - bliss. Now a glass of wine and that will be the end to a great day…
