Birthday Flowers…

Filed in Cards

Morning and lets hope we have a nice weekend weather wise, looks promising out there at the moment…

Gosh I have so many birthdays over the next few weeks for family and friends so here is one I made for a lovely friend which was quite complicated. Good old Pinterest has thousands and thousands of ideas for any craft and this one was from H2 Designs where she has some wonderful cards and projects on her site – all she asks is that you mention her blog so there you go Helen.

The Stampin Up colours used for this are Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple, I know I got carried away!  The pot is using the Petal Cone die and then a variety of SU Punches and dies.  A centre fold card just sets it off but now I find I am going to have to make an envelope as I have made it a little too big, grrr!  Bye for now and take care…

Girls Best Friend…

Filed in Cards

Good morning and after the most glorious few days, especially yesterday,  we are back to cloudy and damp, oh well, as I always say at least you can sit and craft and not feel guilty!

Some more Sassy Cheryl cards today and I do love this one though both cards are very different with the colourways…

This one is obviously pastels done with Promarkers with SU cardstock, punches, Rhinestones and sentiment to finish off and…

and I love the red. The downloaded images from this site are really lovely if you want something cute and easy to colour in which I haven’t done for ages, but when I had that horrid cold over the last few weeks (and it has come back!!) all I wanted was to just sit and colour rather than make anything too complicated. So that will probably be my last for a little while.  Let’s hope the summer comes back soon…. bye for now and take care.

Sassy dreams…

Filed in Cards

Morning and after having another blooming cold and cough am stuck mooching around the house instead of being outside gardening which is what I really wanted to do. No worries, colouring in is an easy task when you have no energy so this is what I came up with.

I just love Sassy Cheryl and her downloads, they are so cute and easy to colour and this is the colour combo I came up for this one, green with just a hint of other colours!!

And where would I be without my SU Itty Bitty punches, the most useful thing in my stash I always think, lots of rhinestones and done.  Think I will try a few more after lunch so bye for now…

Little used colours…

Filed in Cards

What a glorious day it has been here in the South, I mowed the lawn and tidied up the borders just to stay outside longer and not waste just sitting around! And why should I not sit and just enjoy the sun I thought?? As a keen gardener with a new garden, there is always something to do and now it is warming up everything is budding or needing to be cut back, birds singing away, just heaven…

Anyway, sometimes you don’t use certain colours and Stampin’ Up has so many lovely ones but Cajun Craze is one I don’t use very much or Garden Green, never used it when I looked at the ink pad!  So here are a set of three cards using Very Vanilla as the base, that lovely saleabration flower and butterfly, Pearls,  hexagonal embossing die and a few punches.  The only other accent I used is Crumb Cake, where would we be without that one?!  Not great photos so sorry for that…

Ok, more to do;  enjoy the rest of your day, bye for now…

Postage Due…

Filed in Cards

Morning and I feel really tired.  Yesterday I had a day out with great friends to Ally Pally in North London for the Stamp Show!  There were lots and lots of lovely things and believe me, we bought a lot, but we were away from home about 14 hours and when I got to bed, couldn’t sleep, grrr so today I am going to look through all the lovely things I bought and maybe even do some stamping… a girl has got to do what a girl has got to do, right?….

This is the latest stamp set I have bought from Stampin’ Up, waited and waited for this one and there are a lot of great cards using this set out there, especially on Pinterest.  I used Primrose Petals and So Saffron for this and the great hexagonal embossing die, my forever fave itty bitty flower punch and lots of Rhinestones!  Bye for now…

Multi-coloured…

Filed in Cards

I was at a card day with Jo Dumbleton recently and she gave us a lovely idea for a card and loved the layout so I have blatantly used the idea for the three cards above!

I know SU Saleabration has finished now but some of the stamps were very useful especially this Bloomin’ Marvellous along with the DSP.  I simply used the colours in the papers, a few punches, embossing folders from SU and Pearls. Thanks again Jo for the great layout!  Bye for now…

So Saffron…

Filed in Cards

Good morning, dull and dreary, perfect for card making!  Actually I am supposed to be re upholstering my head board so must make time to start that today.

Stampin Up is having a re jig of their colours – some are going, one of my faves Lucky Limeade is one of them but looking forward as always to the new colours coming in and some old ones returning.  This card is just two, So Saffron and Whisper White and a card for a friend’s birthday Monday.

I use this embossing folder a lot and a simple greeting in the label punch, add a few of the new Saleabration flowers and rhinestones and you are good to go. Take care and bye for now…

Blue and Coral…

Filed in Cards

are two quite Spring like colours on a cold Easter weekend…

I have been making a few cards this afternoon while my Hubby is tiling our en suite bathroom. Apart from supplying him with copious amounts of te and coffee I am no help to him at all and he is doing such a great job in there, nearly the last job in house. He has had to replace everything, including floor and walls before starting the rest – I am so proud of what he has achieved in our hopefully last home ever (unless we win the lottery of over £100 million tonight!!)

So this is my share today:  trying to keep things simple I have colour blocked with Calypso Coral and Pool Party then used the SU Serene Silhouette stamp in Black.  It’s a simple card for a lazy afternoon… bye for now.
