Morning, cold but dull out there, perfect for crafting!
Well, I have been quilting. My Sister is a great quilter and has got me all fired up about jelly rolls and fat quarters! Yes I know, but with not being able to afford much this xmas, making something for family is always great fun and appreciated (I hope!!) So this is going to be a table runner for my niece, the Xmas tree table runner from Jenny Doan at Missouri Quilts on Craftsy.com, such a great way to learn new crafts.
It is only quilted in the ditch so quite an easy piece to start with again, I haven’t done any sewing in years. I also made a large tote bag for my other niece which I will take a photo of another day. I am trying to catch up with my card making too as I am so so behind on that. Bye for now…
Morning and a glorious autumn morning it is after all that horrid rain yesterday.
I bought this Clairiy Stamp set back at Ally Pally in the summer and have just gotten round to using it. With the lovely Stampin’ Up colours and a bit of decoupage I stamped these two quick cards which I needed for this weekend! Hopefully going to get out for a little walk in a mo so bye for now…
One of our dear colleagues at school retired this week so I made this card for her. The colours seem a bit ‘off’ but it was Baked Brown Sugar and Strawberry Slush with Crumb Cake for the base, all the stuff was SU. I love the Flower Shop and Chalk Talk stamp sets and they worked well for what I wanted to do. A few Pearls and elastic ribbon and it was finished. She did say she loved it too which always helps. Bye for now…
After seeing the fantastic Barbara Gray on Create and Craft again on Saturday I was very inspired by her creations. Then thought how can I do it with what I have before I buy her great stamps! So this is using a Stampin’ Up stamp set Lovely as a Tree with the Autumn Accents Die.
It looks a bit ‘splodged’ on one side and can assure you it wasn’t but just how the photo came out! I have just used two colours, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze and the sentiment stamps from Express Yourself all on Very Vanilla card stock and I just know the person I would like to give it too… Bye for now!
Good rainy afternoon and boy, Autumn has come in with avengence hasn’t it.
My twin Sister left to go back to New Zealand last weekend after her nearly 11 week holiday and to say I miss her is an understatement. Which is one reason why I haven’t posted for a loooong time, lots of lovely days out with her and the family during the summer holidays and now back to school.
September is our busiest month in the family for birthdays, anniversaries etc and have made ten cards just for all of them in the last few days plus all the cards I need for the charity I support at the hospital so have been busy busy busy.
Most of them I haven’t taken a photo of but this one I did remember! So I hope my friend Jo likes it when she gets it!!! In Colours from SU of Bake Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding with the Wonderfall Stamps, Sassy Salutations and the woodgrain effect embossing folder and finally a piece of twine…
I have three birthdays on the 19th one on the 20th and have two more to make so had better get a wiggle on… bye for now.
Morning, and it can’t quite decide what to do out there, muggy, cloudy, a bit of sun…
so card making this Bank Holiday weekend for a few hours and love the Baked Brown Sugar for Stampin’ Up so this is the one I came up with this morning.
The lighting is awful but just two colours with the obvious Whisper White and a few Rhintestones. I added a scalloped edge to give some detail and can’t get enough of the new Flower set, the useful punch and of course the butterflies! The new Label Love sentiments are becoming a firm favourite too – it all makes it just so easy to make simple cards that people enjoy receiving. Bye for now!…
This is another of the new In colour sets from Stampin’ Up, these colours really do go well together. Another simple card this time using the butterfly punch together with the lovely little flower punches, some Rhinestones and butterflies die cuts and another simple card.
I am going out in the garden now so bye for now!
Another trio of simple cards using the in colour papers as well, dots of course! Some new greetings and the Flower Shop stamps, think thses will become a firm fave, on Whisper White with a few scalloped edges, ribbon and embossing folders et voila!
Take care, bye for now – that breeze is great through my study window!!
Good afternoon and this is the last of these simple cards using the same colour template with a few Pearls and hearts this time. I do love this dotty paper in the SU In Colour range and have been making lots more in each of the five colours so you may see more of these after all.
Bye for now!
So this is my offer for today the same colours as yesterday but Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay added and the lovely sentiment from the above mentioned set. Trying to keep to the same colour palette from all the new SU colours is quite easy as they go so well together.
See you again tomorrow!
